Post Graduate Diploma in  Arabic><English Translation (PGDT)

Course Design:

Duration: 10 Months

Two Semesters (five months each)

Number of papers: 5

1.         Arabic><English Translation-3 Papers (Part-a) Commercial Letters & Correspondence (Part-b) Legal Documents (Part-c) Media Language  

4.         English-1 (Four Skills in English Language-Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing)

5.         Project Work-1: Marks: 100 for each paper (TE: 70 + CE: 30)

Project Work/Dissertation:

The candidates are required to submit a copy of project report pertaining to the work done as allotted by the department in English and Arabic through the supervisors concerned.

Project:

(A) Practical translation of 10 pages of continuous text from Mother Tongue to English.

(B) Translation of continuous text 10 pages from Mother tongue to Arabic.

Standard of passing

Evaluation will be in terms of Grades: Minimum C grade will be required

Explanation of Grades:

A: 100 – 80 Marks

B: 80 – 60 Marks

C: 60 – 40 Marks

Duration: Minimum 400 Hrs. (in Two Semesters)

• Graduate in any stream, preferably with a language and literary background.
